Buongiorno.
With such a enthusiastic response, this is going to be a lavish, tasty dinner! Thanks to everybody for being so generous with your culinary skills and your time.
The numbers and courses have been tallied and without further ado, here are the results:
If you make a non-vegetarian entree: Wild-caught salmon
Vegetables: Tomatoes, eggplant and green beans
Fruit: Plums were the winners by one over figs, but figs are an option as well. Today in the market the plums looked good, but not great ... fall is definitely coming.
The list of participants is below. All the spots are full to overflowing, so if you're wondering if you can bring a friend not listed here, the answer is: Sorry, maybe next time. We've had to turn down more than a few people already. If your name isn't on the list, please stay tuned for the next dinner and register early. All participants will get an email with directions to our dinner locale mid-week, as I soon as I get them from our host Jeremy.
Grazie,
Marco Flavio

Hi, I'm thinking of doing a Belgian endive with Point Reyes Blue cheese, toasted nuts and some chopped plum and honey. I would love a lift from the Embarcadero Station area! Thanks! Joanna

On the 17th, I'm going to be at a play which starts at 1pm. As soon as that's done I will head over! Sounds awesome. Also wine/beer will become beer/beer due to the fact that I like good beer. Cheers!

I'm happy to help anyone that needs a ride. I'll be coming from Berkeley/Oakland that day, but I'm also happy to pick anybody up that's reasonably on my way through the city. Please email or call by 6PM on Saturday.

Just had the time to review the photos and one of the recipes from the first (and hopefully not last) cooking group's great joint repast. I also got the verbal catch up from Dan Schuster. I'm so sorry that I was ill and could not make it, and had to send a store-bought cake (Yuk, and not my style) to you all. Hope we can do it again real soon and I promise I will make 1/2 decadent desserts. Marco, I'd be happy to help you organize the next meeting...I realize that it is a great deal of work! One who is passionate to bake...syd peters

Hey Sydney, sorry to hear you were not well and thanks for the cake. Next time we'll be happy to try the dessert you made yourself.
We seem to have a tentative date for the next meeting: November 5th. i think I am ok with the organizational part. More details to come.
Thanks,
Marco Flavio
