Hello, we have our first recurring event. I've been going (like many others) to this fantastic (and often underappreciated and very reasonably priced) farmers' market on Saturday mornings. Last Saturday, I met Dan there, and we did our loop together; it's always great to do this with others, as you get different ideas, advice, and try the unexpected ingredient you never cooked before. As I'm Italian (born and raised), I don't have a lot of experience cooking vegetables that do not grow in the Mediterranean basin, so I'm always open to tips and recipes from people who come from elsewhere. There are quite a few vegetables I don't even know the name of... So come by at around 8 (I know, it's early, but I am cursed with being an early-morning person, though it works in my favor for this kind of activity, as the best produce sells first), do your weekly shopping with us and share a chocolate croissant and a good espresso (I know, I know, some like milk in it, that's just the roman in me) with us. If you want to go later, there might be others who want to join you, so just leave a post.
We meet at 8 at the end of the market, by the oyster seller and the baker (at the corner of Tompkins and Peralta). The large parking lot will be on your right and the freeway on your left, facing the market in front of you. If you come let me know, I will look for you.
A presto,
Marco Flavio
